How smart is SMART*?

What could be better than SMART?
No need for SMART would be--by having everything that we would need SMART for within walking distance of our homes.
If the need for SMART is prompted by the need for becoming sustainable, then, by following the same direction of reasoning, we have to conclude that anything more sustainable would also be wiser.
Having all the reasons that one would need SMART for situated within walking distance of one's abode would be more sustainable than SMART.
Therefore--it would be much wiser to campaign for making our homes truly and fully sustainable than campaigning for SMART.
